Appendix B Calibration parameters output#

The tables below show the HBV parameter descriptions and calibration results. Most notable from table x is the variance in soil moisture storage, maximum percolation rate, slow reservoir recession coefficient and snowmelt factor. Throughout the year soils may behave differently. During winter, frozen soils can reduce infiltration and percolation causing a larger fraction to become surface runoff, while after thawing, infiltration and soil water storage may increase. These seasonal changes can influence variability in values of Su,max, Pmax and KS. Variability in FM may be due to differences in snow accumulation and timing across the large basin.
